The site runs on a server operated on our behalf. Case evidence is stored separately, under European Union jurisdiction, and is never held on the application server.

Authentifia checks the traceability of branded goods at the request of buyers. We ask the seller for their supply evidence and report what we receive, or the absence of a reply.

Company profiles compile public records, each linked to its source and dated. A profile is not an accusation, a review, or an assessment of product quality. Businesses that have not been contacted are identified as such.

The trust index is calculated on verified facts only. It never penalises the absence of data, and customer reviews do not count towards it.

Reviews published on seller profiles are readers' opinions, which we have not verified. They are read before publication against our publication rules, never according to whether they are favourable or unfavourable.

Any business may request the correction of an inaccurate item, provide evidence, and respond publicly on its own profile.

Submitting a case requires an email address, a description of the item, and supporting documents. These are used to carry out the verification and to contact the seller, and for nothing else.

Case evidence is stored with Cloudflare R2 under European Union jurisdiction, and is accessible only through signed, time-limited links. Filenames are replaced: an original filename may contain the customer's name.

Review authors' email addresses are kept to verify the review and to be able to trace it; they are never published nor passed on. Only a first name and last initial appear publicly.

IP addresses are stored as a salted fingerprint, never in clear, and only to detect mass submissions.

Anyone may report content they consider unlawful. Reports are examined and answered; where a report concerns a factual statement, the person affected may provide evidence in reply.

The trade names and trademarks cited on this site belong to their respective owners. They are used to identify the goods and businesses concerned. Their mention implies no partnership, endorsement or authorisation.

The site is aimed at consumers in the European Union and complies with European rules on online reviews, digital services and personal data. Nothing in this notice deprives a consumer of the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
